SEASON PREMIERE THERE ARE NO RULES WHEN CHARLIE O'CONNELL STEPS OUT IN MANHATTAN AS "THE BACHELOR," AS THE SEVENTH EDITION OF ABC'S POPULAR ROMANCE REALITY SERIES GETS UNDERWAY WITH A TWO-HOUR PREMIERE, MONDAY, MARCH 28 Less Formal Rose Ceremonies and More Real and Spontaneous Reality Makes New "Bachelor" an Exciting Ride The First Single Mom in "Bachelor" History Is Just One of 25 Feisty, Competitive Women Trying to Capture Charlie's Heart It's "The Bachelor" unplugged, without rules: roses handed out randomly, a rapid dating session where five women are immediately eliminated, the once coveted individual dates with higher stakes than ever - get a rose or go home! Rose ceremonies will never be the same, as the women speak their minds in a free for all discussion. All three exotic overnight dates take place in one location, with the first ever "on-the-road" rose ceremony occurring right there. It'll be a season of constant surprises and unlike any other. Anything can happen, as the quintessential bachelor, Charlie O'Connell, 29, a self-described fun-loving "good guy," takes the opportunity of a lifetime to discover if love is out there waiting for him, when the seventh edition of "The Bachelor" premieres with a two-hour special, MONDAY, MARCH 28 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. On the premiere of this newest edition of ABC's popular romance reality series, which will once again take place in New York City -- Charlie's hometown -- 25 women, including the series' first single mom, barely have a chance to get settled in their rooms at the Roosevelt Hotel. Thinking they have a day to prepare for the start of the show, the girls are ambushed and told that they'll meet the then undisclosed Bachelor in just five minutes. A mad dash ensues - women not dressed, without makeup - as they congregate to learn Charlie's identity and immediately begin a rapid dating session with him, trying desperately to make a good first impression - some disarming and funny, some feisty. During the rapid dating, Charlie hands out two roses to those women who have impressed him the most, only to have host Chris Harrison surprise him with the news that he will have to immediately eliminate five women. After the 20 remaining women move to their loft in Tribeca, Charlie calls to make three group dates. The stakes are raised and the competition gets fierce as the power is put in the ladies' hands to decide among themselves who will accompany Charlie on each of these group dates. The ladies know that there are now NO rules, and that at any moment roses could be won or lost. On the first date, which is full of surprising behavior, some of the ladies accompany Charlie to a neighborhood pub to play pool and raise a glass of cheer. The next group date takes the women to a nightclub where they dance the night away. But the pressure is already too much for one woman, who walks out and leaves. On the final group date, the remaining women play a no-holds-barred game of volleyball and rock climb at Chelsea Piers. A few of the women come to the first rose ceremony with nothing to worry about, since they already have roses in hand. But for the others, emotions run high in this stripped down ceremony, and cat fights break out as the women face off and dish the dirt on each other to Charlie as he hands out his remaining roses. Charlie is a financially secure jack-of-all-trades, a real estate investor and actor who enjoys a fantastic lifestyle and a love for life that is contagious. He has long cherished his carefree bachelor lifestyle, but will he find among these 25 beautiful bachelorettes one girl who can stop him in his tracks and inspire him to settle down? Growing up in New York City, Charlie currently splits his time between both coasts. For the last eight years, Los Angeles has been his main residence, where he lives with his older brother, actor Jerry O'Connell. He also spends much of his time at his family's home in Montauk, Long Island with his parents, whose marriage of over 30 years serves as the model relationship he so desires. The new Bachelor will get to know the 25 women in a series of fun and exciting dates that will elicit real and raw emotions. In the new series, women will continue to be eliminated each week, but now they never know when they might be going home. And if at any point along the way a woma should decide that she's no longer interested in the Bachelor, she can reject his invitation to continue dating. Hosted by Chris Harrison, "The Bachelor" is produced by Next Entertainment in association with Telepictures Productions. Mike Fleiss is the executive producer. Lisa Levenson and Scott Jeffress are co-executive producers. Credit: ABC Press Release

"Episode 702" -- Two lucky women are chosen as the most compatible with Charlie for the very first individual dates with him. But the ladies soon find out that, on this edition of "The Bachelor," these new type of one-on-one dates carry much higher stakes: Charlie will have the option of offering a rose during the date, but if he decides not to give the woman a rose, she will have to leave immediately, not even returning to the house, on "The Bachelor," MONDAY, APRIL 4 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. On Charlie's first individual dates, one woman is treated to dinner at the Savannah Steakhouse and the other goes on a romantic water taxi ride to the Brooklyn Brewery. The women pull out all the stops -- one of the girls believes Charlie prefers blondes and takes drastic measures, bleaching her dark hair blonde in an effort to make a lasting impression on him. Then, in the largest group date ever, Charlie will face the challenge of ten beautiful bikini-clad women all competing to win his heart during a steamy indoor pool party. But tension is mounting in the house after the difficult first rose ceremony, with hotly contested rivalries forming quickly: one woman is singled out as an instigator in the house drama, while another is confronted for not spending enough time with the other women. After another exciting free-for-all discussion before the rose ceremony, Charlie will have to narrow the field from 12 to eight women. The 12 women are: Anitra, 29, makeup artist, who currently resides in Manhattan Beach, CA Carrie, 27, computer specialist, who currently resides in Minneapolis, MN Gina Marie, 28, bartender, who currently resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL Jenny, 23, marketing coordinator, who currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Kara, 26, nanny, who currently resides in Woodland Hills, CA Kerry, 32, director of mergers & acquisitions, who currently resides in Chicago, IL Kimberley*, 25, swimsuit model, who currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Kindle, 23, pro basketball cheerleader, who currently resides in Rockwall, TX Krisily, 25, salon coordinator, who currently resides in Warwick, RI Megan, 23, in retail marketing, who currently resides in Tallahassee, FL Sarah B, 24, labor & delivery nurse, who currently resides in McKinney, TX Sarah W, 24, in fashion design, who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA Credit: ABC Press Release

"Episode 703" -- Kimberley chooses an extremely seductive outfit to wear on her one-on-one date with Charlie, but she receives a "dressing down" from some of the women, as they tell her -- quite frankly-- that it's extremely inappropriate. Charlie takes her to an art gallery and, in a sweet surprise, shows off some of his own childhood artwork. Then he decides to take her back to his bachelor pad to spend more time with her. Meanwhile, the women back at the house decide not to be outdone by their scantily clad roommate, Kimberley, and parade around in their sexiest outfits in a mock "tribute" to her sexy sense of fashion. When the hour starts to get late and Kimberley hasn't returned from her date, the speculation among the women runs rampant - and they call Charlie's place to get the lowdown. Did Kimberley get a rose? Will she spend the night with Charlie? Tune in and find out, on "The Bachelor," MONDAY, APRIL 11 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. The next day Charlie and a group of the women go bowling. Not surprisingly, one of the ladies attempts to dominate Charlie's time, causing some of the women to feel insecure about their status with the bachelor. And with extreme honesty, a tired Charlie admits that his late night with Kimberley left him a bit weary for their group date. Not only that, he needs to postpone his second one-on-one date with Kara because he is so exhausted. When they finally meet, Charlie and Kara have fun ice skating in Central Park. However, during the date, Kara, the single mom, challenges Charlie about whether or not he is really ready to take on the responsibilities of dating a single mother. And in one of the most talked-about new changes in "Bachelor" format, the women get to dish about Charlie and each other again in the free-for-all before the next rose ceremony. During the ceremony, Charlie gives as good as he gets, but he must eliminate two of the eight remaining women. The eight women are: Anitra, 29, makeup artist, who currently resides in Manhattan Beach, CA Jenny, 23, marketing coordinator, who currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Kara, 26, nanny, who currently resides in Woodland Hills, CA Kimberley, 25, swimsuit model, who currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Kindle, 23, pro basketball cheerleader, who currently resides in Rockwall, TX Krisily, 25, salon coordinator, who currently resides in Warwick, RI Sarah B, 24, labor & delivery nurse, who currently resides in McKinney, TX Sarah W, 24, in fashion design, who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA Credit: ABC Press Release

"Episode 704" - It's crunch time for Charlie, as he needs to eliminate two women before going on the hometown dates - and it's tears and fears for the ladies. Charlie begins with a horseback riding date with Sarah B., who is excited to have some one-on-one time with him but scared to be on a horse, having been bucked off before. A fencing competition between women to decide on another individual date ends in tears for Krisily, who claims she is claustrophobic and wearing the fencing mask is making her hysterical. The house rocks with drama as the rivalry between Sarah W. and Krisily escalates when they unleash their true feelings of hatred for one another at a spa. Neither woman can stand to be in the other's company, and they only do so because they have feelings for Charlie. And an ambush rose ceremony puts an exciting exclamation mark to Charlie's decision, as he must decide which four women will take him home to meet their parents, on "The Bachelor," MONDAY, APRIL 18 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Charlie's horseback riding date with Sarah B. gets off to a rocky start with her phobia about being thrown from the horse. A sympathetic Charlie lets her just watch as he rides, and later they have an intimate conversation in the hayloft, where they discuss past relationships and what they hope for in future ones. However Sarah B. informs him that Sarah W. has told her that Charlie isn't going to keep her, which upsets him. Back at the house, the women head to a spa to get manicures and pedicures, and where Krisily and Sarah W. butt heads over who is the main diva in the house -- stirring up the drama -- and who is there for the right reasons. It ends with Krisily in tears. Chris Harrison surprises everyone when he informs the women that, in order to earn the next one-on-one date with Charlie, they must compete in fencing, one of his specialties. Krisily has a meltdown about wearing the mask, as she claims to be claustrophobic. However she desperately wants the one-on-time with Charlie. It is no surprise that Sarah W. remains unconvinced that Krisily really has a problem, and that her tears aren't just a ploy to wrangle a date. Catching the women off guard in the early hours of the morning, Charlie arrives unannounced to have breakfast with the ladies, as he still has some questions for the bachelorettes before that night's rose ceremony. But Chris has one more surprise for everyone - there is an "ambush" rose ceremony, immediately! So the ladies line up for the rose ceremony in their "just-out-of-bed" clothing, and Charlie must make one of his most difficult decisions right then and there, eliminating two of the women on the spot. The six remaining women are: Anitra, 29, makeup artist, who currently resides in Manhattan Beach, CA Kimberley, 25, swimsuit model, who currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Kindle, 23, pro basketball cheerleader, who currently resides in Rockwall, TX Krisily, 25, salon coordinator, who currently resides in Warwick, RI Sarah B, 24, labor & delivery nurse, who currently resides in McKinney, TX Sarah W, 24, in fashion design, who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA Credit: ABC Press Release

"Episode 705" - The stakes get higher as Charlie gets a sneak peek at what life would be like with each of the final four women - Sarah W., Kimberley, Sarah B. and Krisily - when he visits their parents and hometowns. Sarah W. has to work extra hard to regain Charlie's trust when her back-biting lies about Sarah B. surface at the wrong moment. Kimberley's date with Charlie is crashed by her ex-boyfriend and by Jenny -- another Edmonton bachelorette, rejected a few weeks ago -- who both want to confront the couple. On Charlie's trip to visit Sarah B., he's challenged by her sister about his kissing the other women - and, surprisingly, he hasn't kissed Sarah yet. Finally, when Charlie travels to meet Krisily's family, he must "woo" her "Nana" if he wants to capture the bachelorette's heart, on "The Bachelor," MONDAY, APRIL 25 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Charlie and Sarah B. meet up in McKinney, Texas, at the hospital where she works. Back at Sarah's house, her sister presses Charlie about kissing many of the other the women, which he admits is true. But Sarah may be the smartest of all the women, as she later confides to her sister that she's playing hard to get with the Bachelor. Charlie and Kimberley have a fun romp at an amusement park before visiting her family's restaurant, the "Pyrogy House" in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Charlie helps Kimberley's mom with the cooking and her family falls in the love with him. However Charlie desperately avoids Kimberley's physical advances in front of her parents while they're at the restaurant. Later the couple is ambushed by Kimberley's ex-boyfriend and by Jenny, one of the rejected bachelorettes. Kimberley's "ex" wants to know if he has a shot at getting back together with her, and Jenny also wants a second chance with Charlie. Scheming, conniving Sarah W. needs all of her powers of charm to convince Charlie that she did not lie to Sarah B. and that the women are wrong for hating her. Charlie charms Sara W.'s entire family and even lends her dad a hand shoveling snow in frigid Corning, New York. The date ends when Sara bats her eyes at Charlie, reminding him why he likes her. Krisily brings Charlie home to Providence, Rhode Island for one of the most memorable -- and wild -- hometown dates ever! Charlie is surprised to find that Krisily's "Nana" has a framed photograph of him above the fireplace, and he's coaxed into dancing with her. Krisily cries and reveals to her mother that she has fallen hard for Charlie and is scared she'll be hurt. But the pressure of meeting the women's families is all too much for Charlie. When he addresses the women before the rose ceremony, his emotions get the better of him and he breaks down and cries. He must get a grip on his feelings and narrow the field to the three women he'll take on the romantic overnight dates next week. In a series first, all the exotic trysts will take place in one location: Aruba. The final four women are: Kimberley, 25, swimsuit model, who currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Krisily, 25, salon coordinator, who currently resides in Warwick, RI Sarah B., 24, labor & delivery nurse, who currently resides in McKinney, TX Sarah W., 24, in fashion design, who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA Credit: ABC Press Release

"Episode 706" - In another outrageous "Bachelor" "first," all three remaining women - Krisily, Sarah B. and Sarah W. -- arrive in Aruba, completely unaware that the others are there -- simultaneously -- for their exotic overnight dates with Charlie. Shocked to see each other when they pull up to the hotel, Chris Harrison explains that, not only will all the dates take place in Aruba, but so will the rose ceremony, which will decide the final two women. The claws come out as the ladies battle to stay in Charlie's heart. Will Sarah W. fan the flame that was reignited during her hometown visit? Will it make any difference to Charlie that Sarah B. refuses his invitation to stay overnight in his room or that Krisily makes a point of telling him that intimacy is a key factor in a relationship? It's a wild, romantic ride with each of the bachelorettes until Charlie must make a heart-wrenching decision to eliminate one of the women, on "The Bachelor," MONDAY, MAY 2 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Charlie and Sarah W. rock-and-roll, going all-terrain vehicle (ATV) riding and taking a crazy trip on the Kukookunuku bus, but stopping long enough for a passionate interlude in the ocean. That evening, as Charlie and Sarah W. discuss their relationship at dinner, Krisily is lurking in the background, straining to hear their conversation. After dinner the couple takes a moonlit dip in the ocean and shares another fiery kiss. As they head out on a sailboat, Charlie and Sarah B. finally kiss for the first time. They also discuss Sarah B.'s past engagement and how it affects her view of future relationships. After dinner they discuss the possibilities of either one moving to where the other lives, then head back to Charlie's hotel room. They kiss again, but Sarah B. remains true to her nature and, after telling Charlie she isn't comfortable staying the night, she leaves. Meanwhile, Krisily is in seventh heaven, having never been out of the United States. Out to spoil her good time, the conniving Sarah W. tracks her down and attempts to discuss their issues. The two women agree to disagree and remain locked in combat over Charlie. Krisily feels like a fairytale princess as she and Charlie meet for a cocktail. They go "snuba diving," a cross between snorkeling and scuba diving, which proves another problem for the claustrophobic bachelorette. During their romantic dinner, Sarah W. is up to her old tricks, trying to spy on them in Charlie's room, but the couple isn't there. Krisily takes the opportunity to tell Charlie that being intimate with someone special is important to her, and the couple go back to his room and close the door. Charlie is left with the daunting task of eliminating one of the women in the next rose ceremony on the island, as the other two prepare to meet Charlie's parents. The final three women are: Krisily, 25, salon coordinator, who currently resides in Warwick, RI Sarah B., 24, labor & delivery nurse, who currently resides in McKinney, TX Sarah W., 24, in fashion design, who currently resides in Los Angeles, CA
